The wait is finally over if you an Nokia Lumia user with Windows Phone 7.5. The much awaited Windows Phone 7.8 update is now officially rolling out to your devices across the world, and will do so throughout the month of February. The new Windows Phone 7.8 update will bring a fresh new look to your phones, with the Windows Phone 8 like homescreen, new lock screen, more theme colors and more.

Here’s what Nokia’s official blog said —

And now, following extensive software testing, update notifications will begin to appear for Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 owners with an unlocked phone or operator approved software during February.”

So, once you get the update message, you will need to connect the device to your computer via Zune for PC, or the Windows Phone app for Mac, and follow the instructions. Nokia has also created a cool video which shows the various new features and how you can update your Nokia Lumia. Take a look:

In addition to the above features, there are some really handy features exclusive to Nokia Lumia, like Internet sharing, Bluetooth sharing, imaging enhancements like Camera Extras, and the release of apps such as Contact Share, Play To and Nokia City Lens.
