Do you miss those days when “flip phones” ruled the market? Samsung might just fulfill your wish to own one now, running Android! Reports suggest that Samsung is preparing a “flip phone” aptly named the Samsung Galaxy Folder SCH-W2013, which could be the world’s first Android flip smartphone.

Korean site DDaily reported that the Galaxy Folder could be released as soon as August 2013. The phone will have a physical numeric keypad along with a touch screen. It will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 processor, and sport a WVGA screen. As per the report, the smartphone will be released in South Korea, and there’s no word on India release. We can expect more information in the coming days.

It will be interesting to see if the flip phone form factor, popularized by the original Motorola RAZR series, is able to survive in today’s smartphone world.
