After a wait of more than a couple of months, Nokia has finally brought in the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 to the Indian market. Running the latest mobile OS, Windows Phone 8, from Microsoft, the Lumia 920 packs the best from Nokia which includes wireless charging and a high-end PureView imaging technology. Both devices are priced a bit on the higher side, with flagship Lumia 920 available at INR 38199, while Lumia 820 is priced at INR 27559. The most affordable Windows Phone 8 from Nokia, the Lumia 620, will be available from February.

The Nokia Lumia 920 features a 4.5-inch WXGA (1280×768) IPS LCD PureMotion HD+ display, which Nokia claims, is better than the 720p display and is the world’s brightest, fastest and most sensitive touchscreen. It is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. And, for the first time in Windows Phone history, a device is coming with a dual core processor. Powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4 along with 1GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, support for microSD cards up to 32 GB, a 2000mAh battery (one of the largest Nokia has ever produced), this is one buttery-smooth device.

The Nokia Lumia 820 is a bit different from the Lumia series in terms of body design. At the same time, it is a stylish, mid-range smartphone that delivers high-end performance in a compact package. Sporting a 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED WVGA (800×480) display, a 1.5 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4, 1GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, support for microSD cards up to 32GB, this device is not short of power. It comes with a 8-megapixel with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash, a front VGA camera and a 1650 mAh battery.

One of the most important features is the built-in wireless charging for an easy, convenient way to charge your smartphone. Just touchdown the Lumia on one of the wireless charging pads, and that’s it! It will charge your phone without the hassles of struggling with cords everytime.

Both the devices come with in-built apps like Nokia Maps, Drive, Transport and City Lens. Nokia is also including a free streaming music service, Nokia Mix Radio.

Availability and Where To Buy

The Nokia Lumia 920 will be available in yellow, red, white and black. The Nokia Lumia 820 will come in red, yellow, cyan, white and black, while the Nokia Lumia 620 will come in magenta, yellow, cyan, white and black.
